Leading product management innovation with Lean and Agile for over fifteen years
I’m Patrick Waldo, a technology and product leader with 15+ years of experience building AI/ML and data analytics platforms adopted by the Fortune 500. I'm currently CEO of UnicornForms, where we’re rethinking paperwork through smarter, frictionless digital forms. Previously, I led product at Decernis, FoodChain ID, Redica Systems and Shift Media, guiding strategy through multiple acquisitions and earning two patents in NLP and machine learning. I'm a dedicated Agilist focused on delivering measurable value, and a social entrepreneur working to modernize nonprofit fundraising.
What people say about my work:
Patrick has been the great proponent in Decernis for making decisions with the customer's needs in mind. He does an excellent job in working with customers and developing products that are beneficial and useable. Patrick keeps the focus of development on track and communicates effectively with clients any changes to the schedule. He also has a great sense of how to use existing products to solve customers problems. This gift makes customers successful and want to work with him. Working with Patrick is never a bad choice.
I worked with Patrick for over 4 years in the build out and continuing redesign/improvement of Decernis News. We have worked in a collegial and highly collaborative manner, and Patrick has consistently been organized and methodical while being creative and innovative at the same time. He is very responsive to our clients, to me, and to our team. Patrick has continued to improve his technical skills and his managerial skills as well.
Patrick led the strategic roadmap and tactical execution with one of the development teams I managed at STX. His project was one of the most organized, positive, and effective that I had the opportunity to work with. Patrick has great judgment as a PM, and knows when to push things through and when to push back. He also gets agile methodology and understands the right balance between planning and doing. It was a pleasure to work with him.
I have a great deal of respect for Patrick's management style and abilities. He juggles many stakeholders effectively and is genuinely interested and motivated by the work he does. He is both technically and strategically savvy, balancing business needs and technical tradeoffs easily. I've been impressed with how much Patrick is able to manage in terms of understanding new technical complexity. I would be happy to work with Patrick again.
Patrick is a great manager with a technical background, which is very helpful. During our cooperation Patrick worked with several distributed teams with great success. He definitely showed his leadership and management skills solving all of our blockers or problems with highest priority. In my opinion he is the glue between technical and non-technical worlds. Patrick has a great understanding of Agile principles. His role of Product Owner in our Scrum Team was indispensable.
I hired Patrick as an IT advisor to conduct technical and market-based research for my startup data analytics company. As a founder, I appreciated his motivational support in me, my idea and my company. Patrick works his heart out. He anticipates potential future challenges and prepares the team for them. He is steadfast. He is passionate. He skillfully leads technical and non-technical teams down a path of excellence. Most importantly, he gets it right.
I create mutually beneficial relationships and collaborative environments that inspire creativity. I inspire customers and employees to become advocates for my company and products.*
I am at my best when I am tackling a goal that challenges me to succeed and have a community to share the benefits with. I am energized when I have a product that excites me, that I wake up looking forward to build and have structure to my day.
